Mitra Power
offers the following software products for the distributed generation,
co-generation market. These tools are designed to help energy planners
and decision makers sort through the various distribution generation
(DG) technologies and investment options to find the product that best meets their business objectives.
It is recognized that the drivers for DG projects are
a combination of objectives, i.e., cost minimization, improved reliability,
better environmental performance. Our product is designed to give
the decision maker the freedom to adjust the degree of preference
for one or more of these objectives until a satisfactory solution
is found.
These tools are designed based on proven multi-criteria decision
methodologies and in all cases perform an internal optimization
of the DG dispatch levels to maximize the return on investment for
a given rate structure and load profile.

Planner
|
DG
Planner is an analytical tool for strategic evaluation
of the economic, environmental, and operational performance
of a distributed energy resource. The results of the analysis
quantify in great detail the impact of the resource in terms of
cost savings, emissions produced and avoided, reliability
and reduced probability of downtime, fuel costs and savings,
and energy and demand charges and savings, among others.
The input to the tool includes site demand profile, existing
rate structure, available renewable resources (if any),
site outage history, the distributed energy resource equipment,
selected from a list, the financial terms of the initial
investment, as well as the projections of future change
in site demand, fuel prices, rate changes, etc.
System Requirements:
A standard web browser is all you need to access and exercise
the DG Planner. All
of the
results are returned in XML format and can therefore be
rendered in standard HTML or other easily readable formats,
e.g. PDF.

DG
Comparator
|
DG
Comparator is for side-by-side comparison of multiple
DG projects, under the same planning
condition and scenario. The user can compare and contrast
different DG technologies, different investment assumptions,
different DG capacities, or any other variations of these parameters for the
same project to fine tune the search for the ideal mix of
DG technology and financial terms that would maximize the
selected objective. Again, the objective in this case may be a combination
of cost savings, environmental performance, reliability,
or other factors.
System Requirements:
A standard web browser is what the user needs to access
and exercise the DG Comparator. All
of the
results are returned in XML format and can therefore be
rendered in standard HTML or other easily readable formats,
e.g. PDF.

Dispatcher
|
DG
Dispatcher is a software tool for calculating the
optimum economic dispatch of a distributed energy resource
for a given load profile, rate structure, and fuel cost.
The optimal dispatch is done according to the selected operating
strategy, i.e., electrical load following, peak shaving,
baseload generation, emergency/standby, or for market participation
as in the case of a merchant plant. The DG output is reported
in half-hourly steps over the chosen day, week, or month.
System
Requirements:
A standard web browser is needed to access and exercise
the DG Dispatcher. As
ll of the
results are returned in XML format and can therefore be
rendered in standard HTML or other easily readable formats,
e.g. PDF.
